Painting and sculpture rolled into one fantastic workshop!
This two-part workshop is designed to help students see the planes of the head and have a full understanding of the relationships of form, light, and color. By working in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums (paint and clay), students will have a clearer understanding of the head, resulting in making a better portrait. No matter which medium you are used to working in, you will gain invaluable information about portraiture by working with both clay and paint, and having to think about the portrait in two and three dimensions. Plus, you will benefit by receiving instruction from two different teachers. Each instructor will be referencing the other, so students may not opt to register for just one weekend. Model fees are included. There will be a one hour lunch break day. Lunch is on your own. Bring your own or enjoy plenty of options in our South side neighborhood.
